About Us
Ailsa’s Aim is a Cancer and Neonatal Support charity, inspired by Ailsa Whatley and founded by Sara and Niven Whatley, to help individuals with a cancer diagnosis and their families, as well as families with babies in neonatal care.
Our incredible team of volunteers and supporters work tirelessly to raise funds through events, community fundraising activities, charity merchandise sales, grant applications, and sponsored challenges such as walks, climbs, abseils and skydives.
As a charity, we’ve built strong partnerships with NHS staff and other organisations. We now work alongside 17 hospitals, supporting 25 individual wards and units, as well as schools, churches, community centres, local food banks and other groups — providing essential care packs to those who need them most.
Our friends, family members, volunteers, supporters, and donors all give back in countless ways — from donating blood, shaving their heads, organising music gigs and dog shows, to running auctions, football matches, raffles and placing fundraising tins in communities across the UK.
Every effort makes a real impact, helping us deliver thousands of care packs every year, completely free of charge, to people going through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Ailsa’s Aim is inspired by the people who supported Sara, Ailsa and Niven through their own complex journey — and we’re proud to now stand by others, giving practical help and emotional support when it’s needed most.
With your help, we continue
Putting You First.
